BACKGROUND
In 1988 Carran Waterfield in collaboration with Nigel Stewart devised the bare bones of this story which was never fully developed in Triangle's first theatre work - The Fairy Tale Project. Twelve years later it was possible to revisit the original material, to workshop it with a group of forty children and to present it within a work-in- progress situation. The development work took a year and was the first project developed by The Little Herberts based at Coventry's Herbert Art Gallery and Museum. The project has become the focus of practice-based research conducted by Jessica Naish formerly of Loughborough University.
